BRX Ethernet/IP Communication with SureServo2 with EthernetIP Module
I'm trying to get a BRX to communicate with Ethernet with a SureServo2 Drive with the Ethernet IP card attached. I've watched the videos and believe all the parameters are set correctly in the Drive.
I uploaded the EDS file to the BRX.
The Target -> Origin values report correctly (Alarm code and Firmware) but If I change the value of Origin -> Target P2030 to 1 it does not enable the drive even though the value is changed in the dataview.
I feel like I must be missing something simple here.
How are you determining that the drive is not enabled?
Can you go online with the SS2 software while testing this?
When online, you should see the drive enable state in the top left corner (Servo On/Servo Off).
You should see it toggle states as you edit the associated P2.030 tag in data view.
I am confirming that the drive is not enabled using the SS2 software. I also have a motor attached that freely spins when the motor is not enabled. I am able to confirm that the motor can be enabled by changing Parameter P2.030 to 1 in the SS2 software.
During the implicit Ethernet/IP video at 7:18 it shows a SV2.Msg1Enable being turned on - is that the same as the .ScannerEnable in the Do-More software? The drive shows as connected in the Ethernet/IP scanner monitor in Do-More also.
Yes. .ScannerEnable would serve the same purpose in Do-More and typically enabled by default.
Would you mind sharing your BRX project?
You can PM me, if you prefer.
Sent. Thanks!
Thank you for providing your project. It looks correct, and when running it here (using DMD Simulator), I am able to enable and disable the drive as expected. I have attached a screenshot showing the associated tag in data view that has enabled the drive.
Can you share a screenshot showing the same data displayed in data view? I just want to make sure there isn't a misunderstanding in what is being displayed.
Attached is a picture of what I am seeing. I have also attached the DMD file, the EDS file for the drive, and the parameter configuration of the Drive below. Please let me know if I can provide anything else.

I notice the file you sent is using FW v1.0003 sub5194, which is an outdated firmware version. You should update to the latest and see if that clears the issue.

If updating the firmware doesn't resolve the issue, I recommend you contact tech support.
