Modbus Exception Response 11 (0x0B) means "Gateway Target Device Failed to Respond," indicating a problem where a Modbus gateway or bridge couldn't get a reply from the final slave device, suggesting the target device isn't on the network, is offline, or there's a communication issue (like bad wiring, power, or settings) between the gateway and the slave device, often triggering a timeout on the gateway's end.

For this error, a couple things to check are the connection between the TCP card and the drive. If it is an addon module to the drive, you might unplug and reconnect the card to the drive making sure it has a properly seated, good connection. Also, make sure you are not overwhelming the drive with requests. Try slowing down the rate of sent requests.

This occurred about the time I was trying to connect the drive to my desktop via the LAN and Gsoft2. I was not successful.

The data from drive to CLICK was set at 100 ms, it is now 500 but I have not tried since I changed it. 100ms had worked for years.

Where did you come up with the answer?

    Thank you.

FWIW the ErrCode 11 shows up after I attempt connection from desktop to drive via the LAN. I tried again with the latest vs of Gsoft and got the same result. Apparently, I don't have the card installed correctly, although it works fine with the CLICK.
