How to setup counter on GS10 Drive

I feel like I’m missing something obvious but when I try and set P02.04 to 23 it gives me an “err” message on the screen, and if I set it to 22 the counter doesn’t move no matter if the terminal is on or off.

I’ve set P02.19 to some random number for testing, and P00.04 is set to 1.

I’ve tried resetting the drive to default parameters but I’m still not able to set P02.04 to 23.

My model number is GS11N-22P0

I'm curious as to which firmware version you are using? Can you look at P00.06? I've tested with both versions 1.01 and 1.03 without issue.

    My exact steps:

    1. Default drive: Set P00.02 = 10
    2. Change P00.04 = 1
    3. Change P2.04 = 23
    4. Change P2.13 = 18
    5. Change P2.19 = 5
    6. After that, I change the display to show: c 0
    7. Every time I enable DI4 (jumpered to DCM), the display counts up. When I hit a count of 5, the output triggers and the counter resets.

NOTE: the only way we can duplicate the error when trying to write a 23 to P2.04 is if we try to write a value to that parameter while the drive is running. When trying to write to that parameter, the Stop LED needs to be on steady and the Run LED off and not blinking.

Unfortunately, there is not. That is a very early version of firmware. I would recommend getting a USB-485M and updating the firmware.
