Link two sure servo2 drives together

I'm looking at doing a linear axis with 2 separate ball screws each having their own servo.

I'd like to have one drive operate as a master and the other as a slave, basically ensuring neither drive gets out of sync.

I'm using a P1-550 PLC for controls and debated setting up two steppers with a PS-AMC2 with steppers and encoders to write my own logic to prevent the two from getting out of sync.

Is there a way to daisy chain the two drives together ensuring the two servos move in sync?

Thanks,

Typically you would use the pulse output from one servo as the pulse input into the other. This makes the slave axis follow the master at all times with whatever ratio you have programmed in.

I was reading over the gantry operation mode in the documentation, it said to wire the HSO from the PLC into both drives pulse and direction inputs.

imageThis is the wiring outlined in the manual, I'm debating over this and the answer you provided.
