TamNg (Customer) asked a question.

Hi all,
I am working on a project with P1-550 plc.

Every time the power turned on, the plc is on stop mode (green led "RUN" is off) even with the toggle switch on RUN! If I turn the switch off, then on, the plc would be on RUN mode ( green led on).

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance

Please refer to help topic P223 in the Productivity Suite software.

Error code E01802 on your P3-550E CPU indicates a "Retentive Memory error". This is considered a critical error and typically occurs when the CPU's battery is dead or missing. The retentive memory stores data that should be preserved through power cycles, and without a functioning battery, this data can be lost or corrupted at startup."

    Recommended Action:

    • Replace the CPU battery with a new one (part number D2-BAT-1 or a generic CR2354).
    • After replacing the battery, cycle power to the CPU.
    • The error should clear after these steps.

If the error persists after replacing the battery and cycling power, further investigation may be required, but in most cases, battery replacement resolves the issue.

Any messages in event log or error log that may provide insight?

Maybe tell us FW/SW versions and any cards attached

Does it matter how long the power is off before this issue presents itself?

(Image 3) indicates corrupt/lost retentive memory. Try inserting/replacing battery (image 1)

    Thank you all,

Just replaced the battery and it worked! I didn't know low battery putting plc on off mode!
