SureStep STP-DRV-4845 Resolution Question

Dip switches have a couple extra settings for the lower resolutions. 200, 200 smooth, 400, 400 smooth. Is there any accuracy concerns between the standard setting and the smooth? I am using this on a ballscrew and the lower resolution is more than enough, but I need the accuracy.

    Since you're only going as far as half a step and not micro stepping, your accuracy should be good. I can't remember but I think the smooth option had slightly less torque and was quieter, You could always test with an indicator.

    thanks, we have been using an indicator and I will give it a test both ways.
