Can I replace an encoder with NPN output by one with totem pole output in a PLC?
I used an NPN TRDA-2E360BD encoder but it is discontinued, and the page recommends a TRDA-20R1N360RZD encoder with totem pole outputs, can it be replaced without problem or should I do some extra adjustment to make it work like the NPN?
Take a look at our product status note at about 1/2 way down it will reference the TRDA-2E360BD. It states they are electrically compatible. There is another option to use TRD-SR.
