Is anybody Using an IO-Link Master as a Digital Output to drive a D03 Hydraulic Valve? I want to hear anybody's opinions on this. Good or Bad?

One problem about the hydraulic valves is when the coil is de-energized is all that current/voltage in the coil need somewhere to go. With electronic relays, this is not good and same for mechanical relays also.

Being DC coils, a diode connected across each coil connection will discharge the coil when de-energized. For AC coil connecting a MOV across each coil.

I would say yes it can be used so long as diodes are connected in across each coil. Even tho it has an internal suppressor diode, it would be better to have an external suppression diode at the coil due to the higher discharge current/voltage. The striped end of the diode is connected to the +side of the DC24. See ZIP-LINK Transorb Modules.
