Getting rid of the white screen on the RHMI with screen saver is a welcome upgrade. I sometimes use a relay to kill power to the screen, and may still continue to do so as the backlight remains on in sleep mode with the screens I use and display "No Signal", but still much nicer than a blinding white screen with random flashes.
