Trouble loading the simulator on Do More Designer 2.7

Im having trouble running the simulator on the do more designer program. I have tried probably 50 time and frustration has set in. I looked through the forum and saw a similar post but no resolution was found.
Any chance some one can lend a helping hand before I throw in the towel.

Is this user error?
It's probably something to do with Windows. Can you upgrade to 2.8.3 and try again? See below post concerning Simulator.

My first guess would be Windows Firewall is blocking the connection. The DoMore Simulator needs to be added to your Inbound rules. Here is what my entries look like.
What hardware requirements are required for DoMore/Sim? This is running on a fairly new laptop with Win11 Home. Firewall is turned OFF. There is no anti-virus app. Running the DoMore Sim returns a 'transport protocol error.' DoMore is running as an Administrator. All software on the PC is up to date.
What am I missing?
