System Time Clock 4 minutes fast

I have set the time clock to the plc the same as the PC and wrote that into it serval times but the HMI displays 4 minutes ahead, any solid solution to this instead of manually setting the clock back 4 minutes?

this is where you set up a C-more EA9 to read the PLC tags for time.

    What numeric values?

    What datatypes?

Is the time always off from the moment you write it to the PLC? Or does it drift off more and more as time goes on and gets to about 4 minutes off?

Any time you are using a real time clock, it is important to have a PLC that can get time updates from a time server that pulls from official internet time servers.

When I download to the plc to update the time it is 4 minutes ahead no drift over time.

        >When I download to the plc to update the time

What do you mean? Do you mean that you transfer the project to the CLICK to update the time or do you mean <menu PLC.Calendar/Clock Adjust>?

Also using the Object Clock in C-more and when I simulate the HMI on my PC it has the correct time but when downloading to the HMI it automatically jumps forward 4 minutes which is why I assumed it was the PLC system time changing it

do you have the tags set up in the HMI to look at the PLCs clock?

    • austinp003 (Customer)

I used the Object Clock in the program, didn't assign any tags.
