I am currently wiring in a MSR138.1DP Guardmaster safety relay to my Kenetix 6000 servo system. The rockwell rep said that I need to add some code to the PLC program. Was wondering if anyone out there has done this before and could steer me in the right direction. The rep said it is not much code to write. Thanks Ken

We use the automation direct safety relay in our DC drive application, the only safety change we did in the PLC was to have the relay trigger a stop command, so that when the estop circuit was reset, the machine didn't take back off to full speed again.
The safety relay was tied into the Controlled Stop and Coasting stop signals. As soon as the relay opened the drive would power to a controlled stop. (Line draws wire through a die, has huge flywheel, so we have to use a powered stop) but after a set time (3 seconds) the timed contacts would open and remove power from the drive.

Thanks
Thanks Deep6ixed, That Makes sense to tie it in with the stop command in the program. The relay I have does have the time delay, So I'll probably use this for the coast to stop that we need.
Thanks Again,
Ken
