I would appreciate any recommendations of a vendor or model of weight scale. The scale will be used to weight boxes being filled, ranging in weight from 9Kg to 18Kg, and need a surface plate for the box that is 12 "x12 " or slightly larger. The scale must be legal for trade. The scale will be interfaced to a DL06. Inexpensive is good. Thank you, Greg

You may find some here... http://www.myweigh.com/business.html
perhaps this one, but I didn't look real close at the specs yet... http://www.myweigh.com/hdseries.html
I have successfully used a smaller scale from this company and fed info via RS232 and ASCII to an 06 for sorting to specs.
You need to find a scale that meets your weight and precision and physical size specs, that also has a serial output that meets the specs of the DL06 input on port #2 which are...(from the sales brochure)....
"Secondary communications port supports RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485, DirectNET Master/Slave, MODBUS RTU, Master/Slave, and ASCII In/Out. "
If you find a scale and need a push getting the ASCII going, I could send you the section of code that handles that part.
Good Luck,

More info
Here's some more info on the project I did, as well as a link to another thread where the ASCII code conversion is done...
I was weighing a 21.55-21.75 gram part with the "ibalance601 "
It has an rs232 output I fed into port 2 of a DL06. I set it to output upon stable, and it also had a "zero tracking " feature that would rezero anything under .04 grams as the scale slowly built up with powder.
See post #8 of this thread for the DL06 code that decoded the ASCII string and extracted the XX.XX weigh value into a single BCD VMEM with implied decimal point.

Hope this helps,
