I have run into this before but never thought much of it and used the out double as a work around. But now i need to load a single word LD K4 into OUT V2100 to avoid overwriting the next memory location and Directsoft will not let me. it will only let me LDD V2100. does anyone know what i am doing wrong? please see attached. can't post code because of the error. Thanks in advance.

After typing 'O U T ' and pressing Enter press the '/ ' key. This will change the box to the 'OUT To A V Location ' instead of the 'OUT to a bit Location ' form. That is a problem with them giving the same mnemonic to both forms of output.

As a bonus, the '/ ' key when entering an inline compare instruction cycles between the different types of comparisons.

But wait, there's more, when entering a normal contact the '/ ' key toggles between NO and NC.

Is that somewhere in the documentation?

The Directsoft help, in various places, notes the NO/NC and the compare contacts use of the slash key. To enter the OUT instruction the Quickstart guide uses the Instruction Browser. I'm not sure where I picked up the use of the slash to toggle between 'Bit OUT ' and 'Word OUT '.

It's in one of the "tips of the day ", but I could not find it anywhere in the Help system.
