I have about 30 D0-06DR in a distributed system. Many of them have an F0-08-ADH-2 and they are all jumpered to J4 = 0-10V. Most of them return values in the proper range (0-10V = 0-65535). However, two of them return 800xxxxx as the high reading, xxxxx being a value that looks like an analog reading. Why is the MSB of the upper word coming on? Are these modules simply defective? Has anyone experienced the same?

Make sure that the DL06's have version firmware 2.50 .

Kristjan H, we have had similar situations. What may be happening is the voltage input signal is going negative. Even the slightest bit negative will turn on the upper bit. This may be caused by the transmitter being slightly out of calibration, or you may have noise that sends the signal negative, or you may have a grounding issue. You can try to correct the calibration, noise, or grounding, and you can set up a compare in the ladder logic to check for this negative condition, and then send an alarm, and/or simply set the value to zero. Hope this helps.
