I'm considering the DL06 for a system that has varying input voltages from site to site. As far as I can tell, the DL06 handles them all except 24vac. Do you guys see any problem with using a bridge rectifier on the inputs to convert 24vac to dc? This would not be for high speed inputs, just basic on/off where 250ms is fast. Maybe even a half wave rectifier would work? I would really like to avoid adding relays. Thanks for any wisdom!

Really the only thing you need is one with 24V DC inputs and a 2.4K ohm resistor. You will need to add the small bit of ladder below to debounce the inputs.

    __________

    X0 | |

    --|/|--------------| TMRF T0 |

    | K3 |

    |__________|

    X0 T0

    --|/|-----| |------------(RST C4)

    X0

    --| |--------------------(SET C4)

What's the max voltage spec on the 24vdc inputs? I could be wrong here but I'd think rectifying a 24VAC RMS signal will give you a peak voltage ~ 32V.

Which explains why you need a 2.4k ohm resistor to bring the voltage back to a safe level.

You really don't need a rectifier. The PLC input will take care of that for you. Take a look at the schematic.

    Great, thanks for the info!
