I have just purchased Dsoft5 software. Trying to get a program out of a 06 PLC for validation purposes. I have the communication settings from the manufacturer that built the machine. When I try to connect I get "PLC type (03800002) is not supported by any installed knowledge base " When IT installed the software they did a complete install, not custom. Any help?? Thanks David

Which port are you trying to connect to?
The 15 pin secondary can be software programmed for many different protocals.
The small port has fixed settings that should connect for programming and is typically used for that purpose.

On the DS Launch window go to the Applications tab and the PLC's supported will be in the center window.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I spoke with tech support and they are telling me that I did not get a good software install.
Thanks Again.
