Just posting if anyone is interested. I was able to easily connect from a H2-COM100 to a WAGO ethernet I/O using modbus TCP/IP. Couple of our machines use WAGO I/O and we needed to talk between the machines. I used peer-to-peer in the ECOM100. The addressing was straight forward. No offsets. In the AD Ecom I used WX GYxx and RX GXxx and it worked easily. I was just so surprised there was no offsets or reversal bits to deal with. Is this normal with modbus to just be so straight forward. I used modbus couple years ago and it was not so, I was so discouraged using modbus TCP/IP. This give me new hope. :)

I second the thanks :) I 've had some questionable serial results networking (2) DL05's in the past. Good to hear some positive things. I have yet to try Modbus but may be in a position to do so soon.

I would say I use ethernet any chance I can. I do not do the serial stuff anymore.
